It is great to have you here! Welcome to the conversation. This is a critical part of the community we're building here. I've been to other websites where I like what they are doing, yet find promises of community to fall flat. It can be frustrating to see a community, but feel like you can't be a part of it. We're trying to create a space where people wanting to be a part of this community can feel comfortable and welcome to join. We might not get it perfectly, of course. There are many challenges to establishing a good community and I'd like to address some of those here and speak to how these challenges are being met. Getting the boring part out of the way, the community has to be built on respect, trust and love, so that people involved feel it is a safe place to share, be vulnerable and be treated kindly and with respect. Abuse is not allowed. But, how else can vulnerability be encouraged so that real conversations can happen and an environment of growth can exist? It takes some people stepping out to share. It takes some people responding with open minds and grace, accepting the person while agreeing with them that things are not as they should be. There is a skill and an art to properly handling the conversations so that hearts are healed. "Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses."
